NJCP & AFP-NJ MEMBERS DEFEATED PHONY "CLEAN ELECTIONS" BILL

This morning the NJ State Assembly Budget Committee

offically voted down the taxpayer-funded "Clean

elections" bill, which would have amounted to welfare

for politicans at taxpayer's expense by funding

campaigns in districts where the incumbents have

such a huge advantage that it wouldn't have mattered.

Mayor Lonegan stated that "this defeat has huge

national ramifications". Thanks to all of you who

participated in our joint Action Alerts this past week

to stop this bill!!!

NJCP TO SPEARHEAD PRESIDENTIAL PETITION DRIVE/YOU CAN HELP!!!

The NJ Conservative Party has agreed to lead a petition drive to get noted Conservative Alan Keyes on the ballot for President in New Jersey as an Independent candidate. Here are the facts and what you can do:

* 15 "electors" are needed to circulate petitions statewide and vote for Alan Keyes at the Electoral College meeting in December(If Alan is successful in getting on the ballot in NJ, then the 15 people who volunteer as electors would go to Trenton on December 14th to cast their votes for Mr. Keyes, just like the Democrat & Republican electors will for their candidates. The number of electors in each state is determined by its representation in Congress). To volunteer as an elector (or just a petition circulator) please contact NJCP Chairman Steve Spinosa or Petition Coordinator Patricia Armstrong ASAP at: spinman402004@yahoo.com or parmstrong11@juno.com

(All electors or petition circulators please provide us with your name, address, phone #, & email. Thank you.)

* 800 statewide signatures are needed to put Alan Keyes on the ballot in New Jersey(which means that we  will need between 1000-1500 signatures to assure his place on the ballot. If all 15 electors get at least 100 signatures each we'll have enough). You can help collect signatures without being an elector as well(for more tips on collecting petition signatures, click on the appropriate tab on the left)!!!

* To download the petition please click on this link:

http://www.njelections.org/2008results/08-Nom-petition-general-elect-president-1.22(web).pdf

* All petition circulators should sign the Affidavit on page 13 of the petition in front of a notary before turning the petitions in. All Electors should sign the Certificate of Acceptance & the Oath of Allegiance on page 14 in front of a notary before turning the petitions in as well.

* The petitions must mailed or delivered to the NJ Division of Elections by 4:00 p.m., Monday, July 28th, 2008. PLEASE COMPLETE & MAIL ALL PETITIONS TO NJCP CHAIRMAN STEVE SPINOSA OR PETITION DRIVE COORDINATOR PAT ARMSTRONG BY WEDNESDAY, JULY 23rd, 2008 SO THAT WE HAVE TIME TO CHECK THEM BEFORE BRINGING THEM TO TRENTON. THANK YOU.

* Mail petitions to:

STEVE SPINOSA/NJCP CHAIRMAN/15 TERRACE ROAD/BOONTON TOWNSHIP, NJ 07005-9429

or

PAT ARMSTRONG/PETITION COORDINATOR/9 NORTH ST./EDGEWATER, NJ 07020

NJCP SUPPORTS REPUDIATION OF STATE DEBT: "SUBPRIME" LIKE BAILOUT AT NEW JERSEY STATE LEVEL!!!

Seth Grossman's group, Liberty And Prosperity,is circulating a petition to be sent to State Assemblymen and Senators urging them to repudiate the current State debt on the grounds that it was illegally contracted. State Secretary Charles Lukens stated the following: "In the case of Steven M. Lonegan; Stop The Debt.com, LLC vs. State of New Jersey et al. The New Jersey State Supreme Court has paved the way for the State of New Jersey to default on its Series 2007G bonds by holding that "The repayment of such debt is subject to future legislative appropriations, and is not a legal obligation by the state(pp. 6-10)" How does this decision set up a bailout scenario? These bonds will be insured by an insurance policy issued by the MBIA Insurance Corporation. Based on the New Jersey Supreme decision, why would MBIA Insurance Corporation insure a debt where default is sanctioned by the court? Do we now smell a potential bailout of the insurance company? In the "shell game" of state fiscal operation, this shell is hard to follow, but careful reading of the attached will lead you to the same conclusion."(PLEASE GO TO THE BROCHURES & FLYERS TAB TO VIEW & DOWNLOAD THE STATE DEBT FLYER)

We urge all citizens to download & circulate the petition (click on the link underneath):

Thank you.

To The People of the State of New Jersey:

The NJ Conservative Party is a grass-roots citizens political

organization. Our by-laws establish a decision-making process

that is devastating simple. Each member has a vote on our

platform positions, whether or not we field candidates or endorse

non-NJCP candidates. These decisions are made on the basis of:

ONE MAN, ONE WOMAN, ONE VOTE

We are the ONLY political party in New Jersey which is ruled by

the members and NOT political bosses!!! We believe that ideas

are important and have consequences. Whether it is fighting to

make government spending details accessible to the public or

placing a limit on political terms, We are interested in getting the

job done. It doesn't matter who gets the credit for it. Our message

to the people of New Jersey is: YOU can join with other like-

minded citizens and with the strength of numbers, offer the

voters a real alternative to the status quo.

                                              Respectfully,

                                        Stephen G. Spinosa
