NJCP 2007 State Platform(Official)

Fiscal Responsibility

* We propose an absolute cap on all state spending for the next

four years. We believe that without cutting spending we can't

have tax reform. The NJ Conservative Party favors the

elimination of unfunded mandates, contract debt & excessive

bureaucracy, ending duplication, waste & inefficency; and the

promotion of economic growth by reduction of unnecessary

regulations & usage of tax incentives to businesses. The recently

defeated Paid Family Leave is an example of regulation that

 would have negatively impacted  business growth in NJ.

Crime

* We call for strict enforcement of the state penal laws by all law

enforcement agencies,the prosecutors, & the courts. Law

enforcement agencies should be permitted to utilize proven

 techniques for identifying, detecting and preventing criminal

activity.

Initiative & Referendum

* The NJ Conservative Party strongly supports the enactment of

legislation permitting direct Initiative & Referendum(California

Style) in NJ.

Right of Recall

* The NJ Conservative Party believes that citizens must have the

right to recall all elected officals with reasonable signature

requirements.
