MAJOR VICTORY!!!
The New Jersey Conservative Party is pleased to announce that on Friday, October 19th, 2007, the Final Consent Order in our joint lawsuit(with the Green Party of New Jersey & The NJ Libertarian Party) against the State of NJ, the Division of Elections & Attorney General Anne Milgram was signed by Judge Neil H. Shuster of the New Jersey Superior Court, Assistant Attorney General Donna Kelly, Eric Hecker of Emery,Celli, Brinkerhoff & Abady,LLP & Renee Steinhagen of NJ Appleseed Public Interest Law Center(who were our legal representatives).
The settlement consent order(which was signed after a year of legal negogiations between all sides) offically certifies the New Jersey Conservative Party as a political party committee for the purpose of registering voters as CONSERVATIVES(i.e. members of the New Jersey Conservative Party) on both the Voter Registration Form & the Political Party Affliation Declaration Form for voters FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER in NJ history. It also allows our County & State committees to raise funds at the same level as the other 2 parties. We are extremely proud & happy at these results & We would like to publicly thank Mr. Eric Hecker, Miss Renee Steinhagen & Miss Amy Brost for all their efforts on our behalf. They all have worked VERY HARD for the last 5 years researching, preparing the briefs & negogiating the final settlement as well as preparing the following press release:
